The Tryton Foundation is now official
After more than a year of preparation, the Tryton Foundation is now official
and fully operational. It is a Belgian private foundation, hence it is
designated to pursue a specific disinterested purpose. The missions of the
foundation are:
- Develop and support conferences, meetings and community activities,
- hold and administer the tryton.org infrastructure,
- organize the community of supporters,
- and manage and promote the Tryton trademark.
The initial board of manager is composed by: Albert Cervera i Areny, Bertrand
Chenal, Nicolas Évrard, Cédric Krier, Sebastián Marró, Udo Spallek and Sharoon
Thomas.
The foundation is already accepting donations, so if you rely on the
Tryton project please help the foundation to pursue its missions.
The supporters candidacies are opened since last week.The role of
the supporter assembly is to represent the Tryton community inside the
foundation.

will evolve over time and will welcome the list of supporters and donators.

Desprès de més d’un anys de preparació la fundació Tryton ja es oficial i
completament operativa. És una fundació privada Belga, per tant ha estat
dissenyada per a perseguir un objectiu específic i desinteressat. Les missions

Final del manteniment de la serie 1.6
Ja fa més de dos anys i mig que es va publicar la primera versió de la serie 1.6. Això significa que s’ha acabat el manteniment en aquesta serie.
Es altament recomanable actualitzar a una versió més recent per tots aquells que encara l’utilitzeu.
Two weeks from the TUL 2012
We are two weeks from the TUL and this is the last few days to register (please
do so on the wiki or by
email).
As last year there will be around 30 people attending the unconference. Some
talks were already proposed like ‘What’s new in Tryton 2.6’, ‘What’s next for
Tryton’, ‘Python 3: Status of the port’ and ‘A Tryton client for Android’, a workshop on Nereid is also planned.
This meeting of Tryton Developers from all around the world (people are coming
from as far as India or Argentina) will also be the occasion to talk about non
technical subjects like the Tryton Foundation and what should be done to
improve the Tryton “marketing”.
So if you are belgian or live near Liège, do not hesitate to drop by the Youth
Hostel “Simenon” on the 9th and
10th of November to get your share of python and tryton talks and drink a beer
(or two).
Dos setmanes per la TUL 2012
Nomes falten dos setmanes per la TUL i aquests son els últims dies per a
registrar-s’hi. (siusplau feu-ho aviat a la wiki o per correu electrònic).
Com a mínim hi haurà uns 30 assistents a la desconferència.Algunes de les
xerrades que ja han estat proposades són: “Que hi ha de nou a Tryton 2.6”,
“Quin es el futur de Tryton”, “Python 3: estat de la migració” i “Un client de
Tryton per Android“. També està
planejat un taller sobre Nereid.
Aquesta reunió de desenvolupadors de Tryton d’arreu del mon (hi ha asistents de
India o Argenttina) serà també l’ocasió ideal per parlar sobre temes no tecnis
com la Fundació Trytone o que s’ha de fer per millorar el marketing de Tryton.
Si ets belga o vius aprop de Liege, no perdis l’oportunitat per passar-te per
l’Youth Hostel “Simenon” els
dies 9 i 10 de Novembre pero obtenir la teva quota de Python, parlar sobre
tryton i beure una cervesa (o dos).
