New Tryton release 3.2

We are happy to announce the 3.2 release of Tryton.

This release mainly consolidates many new functionalities added in last two years. Also it prepares the future migration to Python 3 by dropping the support for Python 2.6. But also as usual there are many bug-fixes, improvements and new modules (see below).

Of course, migration from previous series is fully supported.

Major changes in graphical user interface

The client uses the local timezone to display date time.
The copy/paste on editable list has been improved to add new lines if needed beside of updating existing records.
The buttons of the view are also available in the action menu. This allows fast access using keyboard shortcuts but also trigger the button for a list of selected records.
Buttons and wizards can now trigger actions from the client side. This means it behaves like if the user clicked on one of the tool bar buttons.
The client uses now a pool of connections, this allows to speed up the client on requests that can be parallelized.
The attachment button can now receive drag & drop of file to quickly create attachments.
There is a new widget multi-selection, it uses the Many2Many field as backend. It is very useful and more visual when there is a small number of selection.
The client allows to browse the revisions of a record if it is historized. It also works on a full list of records, in this case the client shows the result of the search as if it was done at the revision date.

Major changes on the server side

The server runs internally always in UTC timezone.
The ModelStorage.write method receives the similar improvements as the ModelStorage.create in version 2.8. This means it can write different values to many sets of records in one call and so this improves the performance by validating all the records at once and also it will validate only the modified and dependant fields. Also the action values of relation fields have been updated with the same interface.
A new decorator fields.depends is introduced to replace the deprecated on_change, on_change_with, selection_change_with and autocomplete fields attributes. This decorator applies on the called methods and the result will be the sum of all depends of all the modules, this brings much more flexibility to the modularity.
Tryton uses bcrypt to hash password if the library is available.
All types of field can now have a domain to constraint its value and most of the domains are supported for pre-validation and inversion on the client side.
The on_change returned value of One2Many uses now an index for the add keyword. This allows to define the position of the new record in the list instead of being always at the bottom.
A new method ModelSQL.restore_history allows to restore the values of a record as they were at a specific date time.

Modules

Account

A new journal type write-off has been added to ease the creation of write-offs.
Taxes has now an optional start and end, this allows to manage the changes over time.

French Chart of Account

The French chart of account has been updated for the new tax rates of 2014.

Account Statement

The module prevents now to use an already paid invoice in draft statements.
It uses the new index of on_change to add the new split line under the original.

Account Stock Continental

The creation of account move for stock move is speed-up.

Bank

The IBAN numbers are now validated and formatted.

Company

A new timezone field is added to the company to get the right date for today.
The employee is also taken from the context just like the company. This allows to use many clients with the same user but different employees.

Production

It is now possible to define the effective date of a production. This allows to enter past productions.

Purchase

There is now a warning when trying to receive a supplier stock move without an origin. Normally, the origin should be a purchase order.
The purchase tries to create links between stock moves and invoice lines.

Sale

The same warning exists for customer move without origin.
The sale tries as the purchase to create links between stock moves and invoice lines.

Stock

Supplier Shipment Return can now have partial assignation
The computation of stock quantities has been reworked to allow easy customization and better search.
It is now possible to define the effective date for all shipments. This allows to enter past shipments.

Stock Lot

A new relate has been added from lot to moves.

New modules

The Party Relationship module defines different types of relations between parties.
The Account Payment module allows to generate grouped payments for receivable and payable account move lines.
The Account Payment SEPA module allows to generate SEPA files for payments.
The Stock Package module allows to store packaging information about customer and supplier return shipments.
The Sale Shipment Grouping module adds an option to define how stock moves generated from sales will be grouped.
The Account Credit Limit module manages credit limit of parties.
The Sale Credit Limit module adds confirmed sale to the credit amount of the party.

Instalar client i servidor tryton a windows mitjançant neso

Existeix un paquet de tryton, consegut com a Neso, que s’encarrega d’instal·lar el client i el servidor en una mateixa màquina per a que es puguin fer totes les proves necessàries abans de fer una instal·lació en producció. El podeu descarregar desde la pàgina de baixades de tryton o directament fent click al següent enllaç:

Una vegada descarregat, us trobareu amb un instal·lador que s’encarregarà d’instal·lar el servidor i el client. Si voleu personalitzar el vostre servidor afegint nous mòduls es important que us anoteu a quina ruta esteu realitzant la instal·lació. Aquesta ruta es demana al segon pas de la instal·lació, i per defecte conté el següent valor:

C:\Program Files\neso-3.0.0

Al tercer pas es demana si voleu crear una opció dins del menú inici, i el nom que li volgueu ficar. Per defecte es crearà una carpeta amb el nom Neso 3.0.0 i també es crearà un accés directe a l’escriptori.

Una vegada iniciat el neso, podreu accedir directament al vostre servidor local i crear les bases de dades que necessiteu. Cal tenir en compte que el client de neso només serveix per accedir al servidor local, si voleu accedir a altres servidors podeu descarregar el client normal pàgina de baixades de tryton

Afegint mòduls personalitzats

Una vegada tingueu neso instal·lat, podreu disfrutar de tots els móduls oficials de tryton, però això no és suficient a vegades, ja que per exemple potser teniu la necessitat d’utilitzar el módul per a gestionar campionats de botifarra. Així per a disposar de mòduls addicionals, només cal que els descomprimiu a la carpeta mòdules del servidor de tryton. A continuació us detallo el procés complert pel mòdul de buti:

Descarregar el mòdul original. Podeu baixar-lo d’aquí
Obrir la carpeta de mòduls del neso. La carpeta de móduls es troba dins del directory trytond/trytond/modules/ dins de la carpeta on heu instal·lat el neso. En el nostre cas:

C:\Program Files\neso-3.0.0\trytond\trytond\modules

Canviar el nom de la carpeta pel que toca, en el nostre cas em de dir-l’hi a la carpeta com a buti en comptes de pokoli-trytond-buti-7ec6949ca060.

En aquest punt el mòdul ja us apareixerà a la vostra base de dades, excepte que ja tingueu una base de dades existent. Per a que us aparegui el nou mòdul en una base de dades existent, només cal que actualitzeu un mòdul que ja tingueu instal·lat per a refrescar la llista de mòduls.

Correcció d’errors.

Segons s’ha reportat a la incidència 3589, hi ha un error que provoca que no es pugui accedir a bases de dades existents. Per a sol·lucionar-ho cal que ens baixem el fitxer database.pyc i el copiem a la carpeta trytond/trytond/backend/sqlite dins de la nostra instal·lació de neso.
A més a més també hi ha l’incidència 3440, que fa que la cerca falli a windows, aquesta la podem solventar baixant el fitxer screen.py i copiant-lo a la carpeta tryton/tryton/gui/window/view_form/screen/ dins de la nostra instal·lació de neso.

Modul de tryton per a gestionar campionats de botifarra

Avui farà un mes i mig que el meu amic Josep Maria (toxet per la gent de Sarroca), em va demanar un programeta per a gestionar els campionats de botifarra, principalment perquè li feia mandra de fer tots els emparellaments basats ens la classificació al moment. Jo com soc bona persona, vaig començar a fer una primera versió el mateix dia, i avui desprès de trobar-me’l per carrer i que em preguntes pel mateix programa m’he decidit a acabar-lo, o almenys deixar-lo una mica funcional.

Actualment permet les següents funcionalitats:

Gestionar múltiples campionats
Recollir les dades de tots els participants d’un campionat i la composició de cada una de les seves parelles.
Estat de cadascuna de les rondes dels campionats.
Introduir les puntuacions de cadascuna de les partides que es realitzin.
Mostrar la classificació en cadascuna de les rondes i la classificació final del campionat.
Creació automàtica de les partides. Actualment hi ha dos mètodes de creació, el primer de forma aleatòria i el segon basat en la classificació de la ronda anterior (aquest és el que li fa mes mandra al nostre amic Josep Maria)

Esta adaptat per funcionar amb la versió 3.0 de tryton

Encara hi ha algunes coses pendents, com per exemple:

Adaptar el calcul de la classificació per a que funcioni amb partides de 151 punts, ara mateix només funciona amb partides de 101 punts.
Afegir una accés directe a totes les partides d’un campionat.
Permetre crear partides per un campionat que sigui una lliga (tots contra tots), i definir el nombre d’emparellaments (anada sol, anada i tornada, 3 vegades contra cada parella, etc.)
Afegir una opció per evitar que es donguin emparellaments que ja s’han produït en rondes anteriors.

A veure si algun dia m’hi entretinc una mica i ho acabo de pulir 🙂

Per cert, si algú esta interesat amb provar-ho i no sap com funciona tryton, o necessita una mica d’ajuda per instal·lar-ho no dubteu en deixar un comentari i us ajudaré amb tot el que pugui.

Molt de temps sense escriure

Es trist però ja fa molt de temps que no escric res per aquí 🙁

La veritat que al començament d’aquesta aventura podia escriure dos vegades a la setmana sense problemes, però la feina va anar creixent i el temps per escriure reduint-se. De fet no es reduïa, sinó que sempre hi havia coses més importants a fer i no tenia ni temps per pensar en la meva magnifica web.

La veritat que estic molt content del servidor de correu propi, però la web no em fa gaira gràcia i em miro el servidor ben poques vegades.

A veure si algun dia m’animo i em compro un nou servidor de 500GB per ficar-hi ownclod (Si voleu més informació sobre el servidor de 500GB, o el que es owncloud deixeu-m’he un comentari). Sinó algun dia potse n’escric una entrada. Fins una altra!

P.D: Pels usuaris de MySQL, podeu actualitzar a MariaDB sense cap tipus de problema, el blog fa més de 3 mesos que està migrat a MariaDB. A veure si treiem un post amb la explicació del que es MariaDB i perquè actualitzarse.

Security Release for issue3446

Synopsis

A vulnerability in tryton has been found, that might allow a malicious server to send a crafted extention as answer to a report request leading the client to write the report on any file of the client host with the right of the user running the client (see issue3446).

Impact

Any file can be created on the client host with the access permissions of the user running the client.

Workaround

Users should connect only to trusted servers.

Resolution

All users should upgrade to the latest version of the used series.

Nova versió 3.0 de tryton

Estem contents d'anunciar l'alliberament de la versió 3.0 de Tryton.

Aquesta versió porta la nova vista de calendari com a millora a la interfície d'usuari i també incorpora el resultat d'una gran refactorització de codi que va començar fa dos anys amb el projecte python-sql. Com és habitual, també s'han realitzat correccions d'errors, millores i nous mòduls (a continuació se'n donen més detalls).

Per suposat, la migració de les versions anteriors està completament suportada.

Canvis en la interfície d'usuari.

Ara hi ha disponible la vista de calendari que permet mostrar registres en un calendari utilitzant els camps inici i/o fi de tipus data/data i hora. També soporta arrosegar i soltar esdeveniments i editar el registre fent doble click. La vista està optimitzada per obtenir només els registres que es mostren.
L'esquema de URL, introduït a la versió 2.0, ara és accessble a la part inferior de totes les pestanyes. Aquesta URL permet obrir la mateixa pestanya en qualsevol altre client.
S'han eliminat les sol·licituds. Es suggereix utilitzar emails amb URL.
Els registres seleccionats en una vista de llista es guarden entre sessions.

Canvis majors en el servidor

El servidor ara utilitza python-sql per a generar les consultes SQL. Aquest canvi permet una millor compatibilitat amb les diferents Bases de dades que es suporten actualment (i també les que es puguin suportar en un futur).
El mètode searcher ara pot retornar un domini complet (en comptes d'un limitat només a clàusules AND)
L'antic atribut order_field es reemplaça pel mètode order_<field name> per a ser més modular.
El motor de base de dades es pot carregar dinàmicament, cosa que vol dir que es pot definir qualsevol en un paquet extern al servidor de tryton.
El rendiment de l'emmagatzemament MPTT s'ha millorat eliminant l'ordre per defecte i reduint el nombre de consultes.
A partir d'ara es pot utilitzar el nou atribut grouped al tag data. Aquest atribut permet crear registres del mateix model a la vegada. Això millora el temps d'instal·lació de mòduls amb una gran quantitat d'informació.
Ara és possible definir un ordre per defecte a les accions de finestra.
